She holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas.

Elio Tahan, M.D.
Postdoctoral fellow
Dr. Tahan is a postdoctoral research fellow in the Department of Gynecologic Oncology and Reproductive Medicine at UT MD Anderson. His research focuses on clinical outcomes and translational studies in rare ovarian tumors, particularly granulosa cell tumors, through his work with the Granulosa Cell Tumor Registry. He earned his M.D. from the Lebanese American University Gilbert and Rose-Marie Chagoury School of Medicine in 2024 and has a background in cancer research, radiotherapy, and tumor biology. He plans to pursue a residency in obstetrics and gynecology in the United States and continue advancing the field of women’s health.

Anil Sood, M.D.
Co-investigator
Dr. Anil K. Sood is a professor in the Department of Gynecologic Oncology and Reproductive Medicine at UT MD Anderson. He has served as co-director of the Center for RNA Interference and Non-Coding RNA, Director of the multi-disciplinary Blanton-Davis Ovarian Cancer Research Program, and co-lead of the Ovarian Cancer Moon Shot Program. His research focuses on understanding human cancer biology and translating laboratory discoveries into innovative therapeutics. His team has made seminal contributions in the areas of tumor microenvironment, nanomedicine, neuroendocrine regulation of cancer, and more recently, multiomics spatial analyses of ovarian cancers.

David Gershenson, M.D.
Co-investigator
Dr. David M. Gershenson is Professor in the Department of Gynecologic Oncology and Reproductive Medicine at UT MD Anderson. He served as Chair of the department from 1998-2012. His major focus is on clinical and translational research of rare ovarian cancers. Dr. Gershenson has published over 460 peer-reviewed articles and 188 invited articles, book chapters, and editorials. He has co-edited 16 books. He is a leader in the field of gynecologic oncology and has advocated for research in rare ovarian cancers.

Lois Ramondetta, M.D.
Co-investigator
Dr. Lois Ramondetta is a professor in the Department of Gynecologic Oncology and Reproductive Medicine at UT MD Anderson, where she provides surgical and chemotherapy directed patient care as well as resident and fellow training for all gynecologic cancers. She also holds a joint appointment in the Department of Palliative, Rehabilitation, and Integrative Medicine at UT MD Anderson. Her clinical research has focused on lifestyle medicine for cancer prevention, management and treatment of gynecologic cancers, as well as supportive care during cancer treatment. She has collaborated on several clinical-translational trials targeting the adrenergic pathway and stress responses. She has published over 170 peer-reviewed articles, several focusing on granulosa cell cancers of the ovary.

Tyler Hillman, M.D.
Founder
Dr. Hillman is now an associate professor in the Division of Gynecologic Oncology at the University of California – San Diego. Prior to this, he was on faculty in the Department of Gynecologic Oncology and Reproductive Medicine as well as jointly in the Department of Genomic Medicine at UT MD Anderson. He is a surgeon-scientist whose laboratory during his time at UT MD Anderson was founded with the purpose of applying genetic and epigenetic analytical techniques to the discovery of new treatments for rare types of gynecologic cancer. He founded the Granulosa Cell Tumor Registry with the aim of bettering care for patients with granulosa cell tumor.
